Selain teluk kiluan yang menawarkan wisata alamnya yang cukup lumayan memanjakan mata kita, di Lampung ini juga terdapat tempat yang tak kalah menarik dari Teluk Kiluan. Nama tempat wisata ini adalah Pulau Kubur yang berada di Teluk Lampung yang ada di daerah pesisir Bandar Lampung. Pulau ini mempunyai luas mencapai 5 hektare.
Kenapa wisata ini dinamakan pulau kubur? Mungkin awalnya tempat ini digunakan untuk menebar abu jenazah sehingga dinamakan Pulau Kubur. Namun ternyata salah, karena setelah diusut pulau ini dulunya digunakan untuk upacara penaburan abu jenazah ke lautan, sehingga dinamakan pulau kubur.
Pulau kubur ini sebenarnya merupakan sebuah pulau karang. Di mana dataran pulau ini merupakan karang besar yang dikelilingi oleh lautan sekitar. Pulau kubur ini mempunyai 2 bagian pantai, sedangkan bagian yang lainya terdapat tebing karang agak tinggi yang menjulang ke pesisir pantai pulau Lampung. Pulau ini sangat terasa sepi karena tidak adanya penduduk yang tinggal di pulau kubur ini.
Belum banyak yang mengetahui keberadaan pulau kubur. Sehingga dapat kita lihat belum banyaknya wisatawan yang berkunjung di pulau kubur ini. Tetapi bagi wisatawan yang pernah datang di pulau ini akan dibuat bengong, terkesima oleh keindahan pemandangan yang terpampang di hadapannya.
Daya tarik pulau kubur ini yaitu panorama alamnya yang sangat alami, karang belum banyak dijamah orang, sehingga dapat membuat wisatawan dapat merasakan angin sepoi-sepoi yang sejuk. Suasana yang sangat nyaman dan juga banyaknya ikan hias yang tersebar di pinggiran pulau, ditambah terdapat pepohonan yang berada di tebing pulau mampu menambah keindahan pulau kubur ini.
Di pulau kubur terdapat pondokan yang dapat kita gunakan untuk istirahat sambil menikmati indahnya pulau, meski pondokan yang terbuat hanya menggunakan kayu dan daun di sekeliling tapi pondokan ini cukup nyaman dan aman untuk kita gunakan beristirahat.
