Rumah makan Barakah sudah berdiri sejak tahun 1983, pada tahun tersebut rumah makan barakah ini masih dirintis oleh bapak alm. Mahmudi dan almrh.istrinya. Rumah Makan Barakah beralamat di JL K.H. Dewantara, No. 80, RT. 24 RW. 11, Iringmulyo, Metro Timur, Iringmulyo, Metro Timur, Kota Metro, Lampung. Di rumah makan ini dijual berbagai sayur dan lauk pauk yang terjangkau harganya. Harga setiap satu sayur bisa dari 3000-5000 dan harga lauk pauk seperti ayam, ikan lele, ikan emas, pepes dibandrol harga mulai 3000-8000. Tersedia berbagai sayur jadi seperti sop, tahu, orek tempe, sayur nangka dll. Anda juga bisa membeli nasi bungkus yang dihargai 5000 perbungkus dengan pilihan dua sayur yang bisa kita pilih sendiri. Dikarenakan harganya yang murah dan dapat dijangkau oleh setiap kalangan masyarakat di sekitar kampus IAIN Metro, Universitas Muhammadiyah Metro, dan sekolah-sekolah. Pelanggannya mulai dari mahasiswa, guru/dosen, masyarakat biasa dan masih banyak lagi.
Sekarang Rumah Makan Barakah sudah diwariskan kepada anak dari pemilik sebelumnya yaitu kepada Bpk Nunul (sapaan akrabnya). Untuk pendapatan dan modal pemilik tidak bisa memberi tahu saya, hanya saja pemilik mengatakan dari tahun ke tahun tetap sama pendapatannya walaupun sudah dialihkan dan pekerjanya mencapai 30 orang pekerja. Tidak hanya menyediakan sayur jadi tapi sekarang sudah merambah ke bidang cathering juga harga 1 kotak dengan isi ayam dan dua sayur dihargai 25.000. Tidak hanya itu Rumah Makan Barakah juga memiliki gedung pertemuan yang dinamai Barakah Meeting Point yang biasanya disewakan untuk pertemuan atau resepsi pernikahan.
