JAMU TRADISIONAL BU SANI
Jamu merupakan obat tradisional yang bisa menyegarkan badan sehingga banyak orang yang menyukai untuk mengkonsumsi jamu ini. Tidak kalah hebat dengan obat-obat yang banyak dijual di apotik jamu tradisional ini juga dapat mengobati barbagai keluhan badan seperti sakit perut, badan lesu, kurangnya nafsu makan, perut kembung, masuk angin, dll. Bahkan banyak orang yang lebih memilih jamu tradisional ini dibandingkan obat-obat di apotik. Hal ini dikarenakan dalam pembuatan jamu, menggunakan tumbuh-tumbuhan atau bahan-bahan yang benar-benar alami yang sangat berhasiat bagi kesehatan tubuh seperti jahe, kencur, temulawak, kunyit, adas kulowaras, cabe, buyang, dll. Namun untuk sekarang ini terlebih di Kota Metro sudah sedikit orang yang berjualan jamu tradisional. Dan jika Anda ingin mengkonsumsi jamu tradisional ini saya mengetahui di mana Anda dapat menjumpainya yaitu di kampus IAIN METRO. Ya, di kampus ini ada penjual jamu tradisional yang bernama Ibu Sani. Bu Sani memulai usahanya sudah sekitar 35 Tahun yang lalu yaitu sejak tahun 1981, dengan menggunakan sepeda. Bu Sani biasanya berjualan di depan perpus IAIN METRO. Sebelum Ibu Sani berjualan di kampus, biasanya Bu Sani keliling terlebih dahulu. Bu Sani mulai berangkat berjualan jamu jam 06.00 pagi keliling di daerah 15A Iringmulyo Metro Timur, kemudian jam 11.00 barulah Bu Sani berjualan di kampus hingga jam 01.00 sore setelah itu bu Sani keliling kembali di daerah 38 Batang Hari hingga jam 02.00 sore. Berbagai jamu yang dibawa bu Sani adalah jamu kunir asem, jamu temulawak, jamu beras kencur, jamu pahitan, jamu jahe, yang dijual dengan harga serba Rp 2.000 per gelasnya. Bu sani juga menyiapkan jamu seduh yang diberi harga Rp 7.000. Menurut hasil wawancara dengan ibu Sani, beliau setiap harinya menghabiskan modal sebanyak Rp 100.000 untuk membuat jamu-jamu tersebut. Dan penghasilan yang didapat dari berjualan jamu tersebut menurut bu Sani adalah sekitar Rp 150.000 sehingga dapat diketahui bahwa bu Sani mendapatkan untung sekitar Rp 50.000 setiap harinya.
